Columbus police arrested two Shaw High School students Friday after a knife and marijuana were found in one student’s car.
At around 10 a.m., police responded to a call from Assistant Principal Barrie Clarke. Clark told police a 16-year-old student was found with a 6- to 8-inch knife inside his truck, which was in the school parking lot.
Marijuana was also found in the vehicle, police said. Another 16-year-old student claimed the drugs.
Both were arrested. One student was charged with carrying a weapon on school property. The other was charged with possession of marijuana.
